You stand wit   The Aikido Master Course: Best Aikido 2 is a book for advanced students. The pictures are excellent, the descriptions are brief, to the point, and on a level for students who have already mastered the basics.

Very easy to understand. I know of no other single book that shows so many different advanced-level techniques. This is part  › Books › Sports & Outdoors › Individual Sports.

The pictures are excellent, the descriptions are brief, to the point, and on a level for students who have already mastered the basics. Very easy to understand. I know of no other single book that shows so many different mid-level techniques.

This is part one. the Part 2 Book is the master's  › Books › Sports & Outdoors › Individual Sports. WAY over my head. Reading a technicial book on aikido for me, really, is kind of a waste. If I had--oh, I don't know--another 5 years of training under my belt (ha!) and if I was an instructor, this book may have been more valuable to me.

I think if/when I do anymore aikido reading it'll be more theory-based, rather than ://   The book is detailed with many dynamic photos, depicting the author, and his son Moriteru (present Doshu, and the author of The Aikido master Course), carrying out the techniques.

It is a work that all Aikido practitioners, from beginner to master, will want to  › Books › Sports & Outdoors › Individual Sports. The Spirit of Aikido is a nice little book about history, philosophy and the true nature of author, Kisshomaru Ueshiba, is one of the sons of the Aikido Founder Morihei Ueshiba.

Format The format of the book is not as easy to read and grasp as some of the other books that I have read on the subject. There is a tremendous amount of information, but the style and the wording is not   Shioda’s style was said to be more reflective of what pre-War aikido looked like, and supposedly had more practical self defense applications.

Not in this book. We see Shioda himself “throwing” people with implausible techniques with the captions offering meaningless pseudo-philosophical ramblings as a way of explanation of the ://   A brilliant book when O'Sensei was teaching and promulgating a martial budo, practical, efficient and effective Aikido.

the book was written in a different era so the reader needs to take account of that; however that said it is a useful piece of history on paper. A book cannot teach you Aikido but it is a very useful supporting tool!
