If I had--oh, I don't know--another 5 years of training under my belt (ha!) and if I was an instructor, this book may have been more valuable to me.

the book was written in a different era so the reader needs to take account of that; however that said it is a useful piece of history on paper. A book cannot teach you Aikido but it is a very useful supporting tool!
